A STUDY FOR IMPROVING SCHOOL HEALTH IN KOREA

Abstract
|
|
|
The one of the National Policies in Korea is to create a welfare state and the other one is to renovate
education and promote cultural activities. The Principal policies of the Board of Education in 1984 are as follows.
1.´ To cultivate health and physical education.
2. Enhance the levels of social education and other educational activities in connection with arts and science.
3. Improving school and public physical training.
4. Cheerful and pure school environment. The School Health is now an important field but we have very poor resources and weak organizational
structure which is due to the lack of recognition of the importance of the school health by administrators, education personnel, and health personnel.
We have no school health organization and manpower in the ministry of Education and it makes the school health services impossible in each level of education system.
